Music isnt doing shit, I work with youth mentoring, worked in a non profit and teach. People have been TALKING for DECADES. Artists have put out whole albums with more reach than you, do you really expect to do better with JUST music??
Thats bullshit, get off your ass and get IN this world and start moving things in real life.
I know you're just venting but that anger isnt missplaced until you decide to sit on a forum all day bitching about a problem instead of taking ACTION

Well music does influence ppl for one. .N working on a non profit org called out of the streets and into the beats. I've contacted the local casino for a grant, got a hold of my old probation officers to find kids and show them they can express themselves through music instead of getting in trouble n using drugs n shit. I can relate to em cuz i was on probation for most of my childhood 12 on. U can't really judge people u know nothing about, thats just unorthodox. but i guess u can have a cookie for your world changing accomplishments guy..

I havent changed the world, but ranting on a forum wont change shit, especially one where this very topic has been done to DEATH with videos and statistics to prove points. And music is the lazy way out, do your history. You aint the 1st to speak knowledge in a song, but I applaud you working to make direct change in the next generation's lives, THAT right there is how its done. Guy.

man im not trying to argue with you or hijack this thread, but i think music can make a big difference. like this lowkey cat, after i listened to that terrorist song it sparked my passion for wanting to spread the word of government corruption etc...
its not just the direct audience always but there's a ripple effect.
I bet a lot of people that heard Lowkeys shit found out about him because of people that disagreed and were ranting about the music. Then they mighta actually liked it and seen the truth in it then maybe tried to open the eyes of their friend that showed em the song or someone else... . U see what im gettin at?
But i 100% agree that complaining on a forum doesn't do shit and you gotta get out and make things happen 4real. I've just been trying to stay active on ill cuz i really don't want to see this community die.
Im sorry but music has a great influence on people. A GREAT influence. Its one of the reasons we have a generation of kids that think that they can have what they like, all the bling in the world and not have to work hard for it.

What I mean is music can have an effect, its just not as great as getting in someones life directly. I wouldnt be on this board is music didnt have an effect.
Dont confuse music's influence with our cultural brainwashing/influence. Music doesnt move most people to do a damn thing these days. Even dance. Its a few that move to it, a few that learn something AND apply that knowledge. If action isnt taken, music has failed.
