wondering what do you think some good hardware compressors are for me to run my triton and motif in to get a nice full bass sound my budget is 200-400

jbl/urei 7110 on e-bay or dbx 160 or fmr rnc also the cheaper avalon compressors are alright for the price

I agree, but i doubt he needs to cop a hardware compressor for what he is tryin to do. I have made some earth trembling bass sounds with only soundforge and a low tone...

Just set the sustain points EQ compress and bam... that shit will rattle any subwoofer.

right, hardware comps are really only required for live instruments / mics.

Software comps & eq can do a great job, jsut need to use em right

^^^^ and the thing you do on a pc is emulate those instruments/mics. There's no difference in the appliance. And yes, you can make any kind of signal go beserk in sonic terms, but the key is to keep the detail and yet have it boost the low regions. Adding bass is peanuts, we know that.
