I don’t care what yall say. This shit is jamming. I think its the perfect Lil john beat. Yall can hate if you want but this is jamming.

Stress
Good lookin man. I was never ashamed to be southern. Im very proud to be from the south. That’s where most of the black people in America migrated from anyway. Ask a cat in Brooklyn or NJ or Cali where his mother or grandmother are from. Its just funny how trends come and go. I remember when i would be up north and cats would call me country as hell and I would fight all the time. LOL. Now they look up to me and try and dress and talk like me. I know it will pass, and I don’t give a damn LOL

I remember when people used to come to FL from up north (epically NY) trying to act hard and saying “Brooklyn this, Ny that”. Those cats got straight punked in my area. They used to LOVE up north out of towners in Jordan park(my old neighborhood). That was instant money for them. Did this happen in any of yall’s southern neighborhoods????

I aint gone front class, I'm older than most folks up here and I seen the crack epidemic come in and hit our community hard, the first to get that real paper were the boys from NY who had family down south, with there gold fronts, fresh kicks, and city slicker ways they made a lot of money in my town in VA, everyone wanted to be from NY and they smashed a lot of hoes, this was between '87 and 93, some neighborhoods of VA just let these outsiders come in and take over, the rich ones opened up bars and clubs and shit riding around in Acuras, porsches and all that, some time around 91 these Florida dudes came up with cheaper prices and Portsmouth VA had like a lil war going on NY vs Fla vs locals, a lot of dreads and Jamaicans were with the florida boys, they were called the Pepsi Boys, you had the 3 & 5 dollar boyz also, these guys made millions selling heroin in Va from like 87-, all of this is true

Fade,
You should be proud! Look, our illmuzik members are getting better. They solved this on there own without having to close a thread or having a battle in the showcase.

Good Job.

Nah it's not that, it's just that it's STILL off topic that's all. I think the ones that usually cause trouble and turn it into a closed thread are members that don't hang around too long, etc.

Anyway, let's get back on this!

I liked the video, but since it's such a short clip it looks like just some guy playing with recording gear. If anything, the whole look of the studio gives off a good vibe and makes me want to get up in a studio right now.

fade, dont you think that it was just a natural progression? it was "off" topic, but it sparked a healthy debate.....

It just amazes me how people can like the same track over and over again. All his shit is the same, that same ole synth horn. he just adds a note or two, and he's got a new track. What bullshit.. But in all due time he'll be played out like the rest, of phonys. As for wana be southern who started that crap? I'm form NY, now living down south, and trust me I will be moving back up north.. I don't wanna be like nobody down here, I can't even decent music on the radio. Then again I can't hear decent music on the radio up north either.. I aint haten on the south, It just aint me, I like my button down Roc a wear shirts, and my pelle pelle jean, with my burrberry red and black tims. Not sweat pants, a plain white t-shirt, and some flip flops. It's might be me, but I LOVE NEW YORK. Then again I should rephraze that when I say the south, I mean ATL. This place sucks. I only got a few week left anyway, And i'm ghost. I aint haten I'm just ready to get away from this place, yall can take it how you want...

Dude you hating on the Black Man's Mecca, makes me wonder, the ratio for women to men, is 15-1 ILLMUZIK FAM, I have visited too many times, but I couldn't live there cause I wouldn't get nothing done but ass watch, everyone hating on LJ probably never copped a down south full album, all lil john's radio songs sound the same true, but it's like a signature, listen to the albums!!! NY people are too uptight to party anyway!!!

no doubt jewel Each person has there prefence so its cool

Like you said you have to be specific about the area your talking about. People like to lump the south into one general region but each city and state have their own style. Tampa is TOTALLY differnt from jacksonville. Atl is Totally differnt from New Orlenes. So maybe you dont like atl. (ALOT of my friends hate ALT) THat dosent mean the entire south is like that. Its very diverse. HAve you been to MIami???I think you would like it there.

The only thing i can say about it down here is that we are not afraid to be orginal. Its cool you dont like it casue your not from here. But home is where your heart is.

They way you feel about ATL is the way i feel about new york. I think to many people are on NY's Dick(no disrepct) but you get alot of posers from NY who think they are the coolest, harderst ,mo-fo's in the world. WHen they bring that mess down here thats how trouble starts casue the locals here aint havent it. Thats why alot of cats go back to NY with a bad attudide casue they got punked.(it happend in my area all the time)
