I am currently testing Landr Distribution Pro as a replacement for Distrokid.

So far I have the following in the release pipeline:

Born To Rise - a song from a young Napoleon's perspective over my own beat using a Tracklib sample. To be released asap.
Masked Villain - a song about a dystopian fascist state and a masked villain over my own beat (no samples). Scheduled to be released in 30 days.
The Storm - an older release from Distrokid that I want to move to Landr. Using a purchased beat from beatstars.

Happy to give feedback once I have more experience.

For me it's the way around...

I was using Landr, but they ask to many questions...it takes a long time before your track is submitted to the streaming services...

Distrokid took like a day to get a full album released on there..
the negative point about that, is that you have to pay more to watch your stats appear on there

Distrokid is quicker because they don't seem to have a due diligence process at all. I'd rather wait a day or two more.

Landr reached out to me regarding the Tracklib sample and provided me with the ISRC so I could finalize the clearance of the sample. Sounds alright to me.

Update. My single Born To Rise was released within 4 days. The only thing that is weird is that not promo link was created until now.

I decided to move the majority of my existing songs from Distrokid to LANDR. The transition is still in progress as I have now the songs show up twice on Spotify.

Update: all the songs I wanted to move to LANDR were successfully transferred.

LANDR has like an internal messenger and work collab features. However, there is no moderation and most people just drop links to their music on every channel.

I am quite happy with LANDR so far. There are checks in place regarding beat leases and sample clearance. If you don't have your own composition (without samples) they don't let you publish to certain social media platforms. This makes perfect sense. I like to schedule my releases at least 2 weeks in the future.

I have a subscription with Tracklib because I like legal sampling and there are a bunch of new songs added every week. If I use a sample I make sure the creators get registered and paid (the same applies if I work with a beatmaker or rappers of course). Also, many of the royalty free sample packs are dope.

In addition to LANDR and Tracklib I have a starter subscription with beatstars. While I am not really selling beats I can claim the publishing from the songs I was involved with. Also for 20 bucks I can upload all my beats with stems in case my PC gets nuked. m

At last I pay my taxes to the ill because this place is awesome and deserves support.
