Any body know how to overcome this? all the forums i've read advise hdd format .. not to keen on doing that ...

Finally got it to work lol ...

What was the solution?

had to go through registry and delete every single kontakt entry lol .... had cancelled my first install and registry entries were blocking the full install ....
