is ni kompakt just a light version of ni kontakt or does it have some other benefits? I heard it has some preview option? Anyone use it? Actually I just need a sample player where i can do some enevelope editting.
Kontakt was designed to be the most powerful sampler ever (Native Instruments Claims), Kompakt is a streamlined version based on the Kontakt engine.
Kompakt sounds like it would suit you, if you JUST need envelope editing and sample playback and it has other features. Just check out the NI site you'll find all the info you need.
