New single, new album & new producers! Just when things were getting hot for the comeback songstress Brandy, they've gotten much hotter. Kanye West is leading the "Afrodesiac" jam packed album with the track "Talk About Our Love." The single is well on the way to make the billboard top 40 this week and everyone seems to be pleased except a few. Reports have suggested Kanye West calling Brandy and pleading to do a lead single track for her album, and people seemingly just dismissed it as a great idea. Until let down fans, Records executives and most importantly T&J productions started to question what was going on with the long advertised lead man Timbaland. Kanye has been quoted gloating about stealing the timbaland show from under his feet, stating, "I'm the new leader of the game so your gonna see big name budget producers scrambling for new gigs, like Tim & The Neptunes." Yikes! He further goes on to state, "I'm gonna keep trying to change the game to my court, my vision, i'm gonna make a lot of new artists big, my first was Twista, it took them to long to get his talent to break, so i hooked him up." Big words to lash out to BIG beat heavyweights of Timbaland & The Neptunes. Some may argue Kanye is right, with such big hits roaming through MTV in late months. Can he be compared to the pioneers of hiphop beats? Some argue Timbaland & The Neptunes have paved the way for producers like Kanye and they have nothing left to prove anymore except for longevity. No comments from T&J Productions, Neptunes or Timbaland have been confirmed from these allogations. Nonetheless, Brandy's album is eagerly being awaited by fans across the globe with promises not to let anyone down. Timbaland has been slated on producing the majority of the album and they are looking to push the next single Afrodesiac out the door in mid June. Look for Brandy's new album Afrodesiac & powerhouse production from Timbaland, June 29th.

all i hav eto say is this: pride always comes before the fall. Kanye's reality check should have been taht accident, and all it did was give him an even bigger ego, it seems. that should have, and would have been, a rather humbling experience for most. some people just think TOO higly of themselves. but, as long as fans just eat it up, he will continue to do what he does- becaus ehe will so no reason to change. he wil learn, some day. he is just as bad as the "bling bling" crowd.... its just, instead of materialism being his religion, its narcisism.

Did they call Timbaland and neptunes the pioneeres of hip hop production? I smell bullshit.

Kanye makes some good ass music, but he's on some Jermaine dupri shit right now. He's always had a big ass ego, his success nor his accident made him that way, he's just like that. But They talk as if Tim and neptunes aren't big anymore, and that's a lie. I do preffer his beats over theirs, and I think what he's doing is somewhat profound if you really look @ what he's doing for hiphop.

Im going with truth. That accident is what made him become how he is. I don't blame the man, he could have been gone before he got where he is now. But, what that accident did is make him live everyday to its fullest. He said on the MTV diary "Since the accident when i'm in the studio, evey thing I make I make like its my last (something like that)." As far as him being the best I can't say yet. He is definitley fuckin amazing but I think it takes more time and effort to get there. Everyone thinks there the best! lol. You can't blame a person for that, if you have no belife in yourself being there you shouldn't be there. Anyways, Him saying he is better than timbaland and the neptunes is kinda cocky, I agree. But i also read an interview where he stated that the Neptunes were his favorite producers.

Kanye, is the bomb, but the best is still dre by a long shot. How can u not mention him in a statement about best of all time? I guess dre is just on anutha planet with his. It would b hard pressed for Kanye to neat Timbo and the Neptunes....They have to much talent but its been a while since someone has challanged them....This should be interesting...those who r fans have a lot to look forward to.

His album is good not great and he does do things on it that no has done. I had to listen to it a couple of times to understand him and where he was going with it. He has a jam called jesus walks HOT!!!! but then he has something that if i listen to it a million times and i wont understand.No he dosent have alot of ground breaking sound but if you listen to his cd he does bring something different to the table.By the way it is dark child thats does brany's albums.

it is TIMBALAND who is supposed to handle the bulk of THIS albums production. no one said he was brandy's regular producer. this is according to brandy herself. (BET) so, argue that point with her.

Timbaland, doesnt really sample at all,and all his different styles.
He did nothin but hella clean bluegrass soundin beatz on bubbasparks,
now tell me whos don that before or now.
i think PERSONALLY that samplin is aight when u got that raw sample, but
2 produce awhole original trak like Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin" all on keyboard. Thats damn amazin!

"Big Pimpin" is a straight loop from a song called "Khosara", I just can't rememeber the artist, and Tweet's "Call me" is a straight loop from a sample CD named Deepest India, and the drums on "Cop That Shit" is a loop from a sample CD as well, so Timberland does sample, he just tries to go for some unknown shit.

That was the initial reason behind this thread ,but oh well just to touch on a few things i have read in the post. Almost all of tim songs with Indian samples in it are samples. More than a woman.sample." I dont know what to tell to u". sample. Like one cat already said he just finds odd stuff so one he wont have to pay for sample clearence and two so he can keep his "i really dont sample" facade up. Not bashin Tim. Love him to death.Just speakin truth. And Jaydubb Alchemist is flippin samples in the craziest way. The Get it twisted song with Mobb deep with tha orignal sample in the beginin. Thats border line genuis right ther.

Oh and on the article im herein whispers that it may be fake which is beliveable since Kanye has said both Tim and the neptunes are his favorite producers and the only two beats he has rap on ther are not his are Tim and neptunes beats. My bad though if turns out it is fake...chuuch

It aint a crime for Kanye to claim that he better than neptunes and timbaland, the man has confidence in himself, he cant jus sit back and be like 'im no way near timbo's level'. At the end of the day, i just sit back and enjoy kanye's music, his attitude might be misliked by some, but i aint no personal friend of his, and i dont work with him, so ill just enjoy the music and not be bothered by what he is saying in the press.

As for the people postin earlier tryin to degrade timb. I know he samples shit thats underground and all that. But he is so unique. You can always tell when he made it. And its always different.

In my opinion, Kanye (it was said earlier) hasnt been around long enough to be great. Or the best.
Whether you agree or not:

-Dre could be the best.
-Premo could.
-Pete Rock could.
-Timb maybe.
-Neptunes someday.

But Kanye isnt fit for that list right now. Hes good. But before he can be the best, he'll need to be around longer, and change his attitude.
