I'm pleased as hell. I shopped around for the cheapest one I could find, money's tight at the moment. I got it for £30 new, which I believe is around $50. Only problem is, it came with Audacity. Now that's good and all, but I want to be able to hear the vinyl before I record it, and I can only seem to press record on Audacity to hear anything. (I don't have an amp or interface). Can I do this with Adobe Audition or Acid or something?

What do you mean you want to hear it before you record it? You don't hear it through your soundcard naturally? What's your setup right now?

yea you need to find some type of direct monitor feature.
unfortunately this is not available in audacity, but it is in Reaper (also free)

www.Reaper.fm

In reaper, just create a new audio track (where you will record) then arm the track for recording by pressing the "R" (make sure you have selected your input!!!) and now you can play the turntable live and hear the audio. To record just press the record button (circle) on the Transport Panel.

all set bro.

Audition 3 (and 2) is the same way.

Dope, thanks Nova. Hopefully Reaper is a bit more pleasing on the eye than Audacity too.
