I didn't take pics yet, but I picked one up on eBay. I'm really excited about this, I have my pair of Techs again.

Audio damage to come soon........... o_O

For those that don't know the MK3:
  • SL-1200MK3 (released in 1989) has a matte black finish like the MK2, gold RCA plugs, and a small gold-foil Technics label on the back. It was destined only for the Japanese market.

How much you pay, I'm always scoping ebay for backup tables. The cheapest I see nice 12's go for is about $400. Just wondering.

This one was around $260 but shipping was pricey. Yeah, most are around $400, but as long as it's in good condition, that's a good price.

Agreed, what are your thoughts on the Vestax PDX-3000? (i believe is the model number)

I saw they dropped in price down to $550 and I have used PDX-2000s as my tables to play out for the last ten years or so. They have been great.

I'd never trade my studio 1200s for anything but have you ever messed with the PDX-3000? If they are as solidly built as the PDX-2000s I've had they should be a really solid option into the future.

I've never used Vestax tables, only their mixers. But Vestax is a great brand and has always had dope products. I mean, if guys like Qbert and Dstyles can use them, I think you're good to go.

I know that the 3000 is solid and weighs almost as much as the Technics, but the only thing is the body is plastic. But that shouldn't be an issue anyway if you check the specs.

Just got my MK3 fixed and converted to 120v. Played with it and I'm pumped now. Once I start mixing I'll post some stuff up!
