Just bought an LCD monitor

It's my first time with an LCD, any of you guys have any tips on tweaking the settings? I know that not all the LCD monitors are the same but there must be some tips on getting a smooth picture, especially with the text.

So..... any tips?

i just recently got my first too,the text seemed blurry to me at first compared to a regular big ass monitor, but i think my eyes got use to it cuz it seems perfect now

I find that the old CRT monitors were basically ready to go as soon as they were plugged in. The LCD's seem to need more tweaking! Argh.

yeah , mine wouldnt work till i put my comp in vga mode, which was a pain in the ass to figure out for me cuz i had no clue why the monitor wasnt workin

i have no clue what i mean dude, my monito wouldnt work when i first got it, it said cannot display this video type,so i i had to hook up my old monitor then i googled sumthin similar to ''why wont my flat screen monitor work'' and it was like your computer needs to be in vga mode.so i did what it said and the monitor worked.but i forget what i had to do and i ttried googling it again and cant find it

My LCD was perfect right out the box... but check out the Main menu of the monitor >> image control, color, and OCD control.
