I forgot the name of that guy who Jones lost too. Jones hit him while he had a knee on the ground which was an automatic loss for Jones so after the fight they guy was talking all this sh*t about how he was abusing Roy in the ring. He talked so mush noise that in the rematch, Jones knocked his ass out in the first round. I haven't seen anyone talk this much smack since that happened so I think Jones with be head hunting on Tarver.
It's kinda hard to say what will happen. Fans will tell you the problem with Jones' career is he has no legendary fights because no one gives him a real challenge. And when you do see someone giving him a hardtime, it's not so much they opponent is that good, but more like Roy is holding back. So like the example I give above. How come Roy Jones could knock that dude out on the first round but in their first fight it went to like round six or something.
If Roy is listening to that kinda stuff, he is gonna make this fight look close or maybe even lose on purpose to help build some attention to himself to make the next fight more exciting. I saw that same sh*t talking interview on HBO and Tarver made a comment about how he looked fine after the first but Roy Jones was the one with a swollen eye. But Roy was sitting on the ropes a lot and that's how Tarver tapped on the face. Who has Roy Jones every sat on the rope for? So it kinda makes it look like Roy did that on purpose just to make it look like a good fight.
But...it doesn't matter what we think. What matter is what we know. And we all know, ain't nobody handed out as many embarrassing ass whoopins than Roy Jones. I mean...how you gonna let someone put their gloves behind their back and still knock your ass out?
I can't call this one but I know it is gonna be a good fight none the less.
