all i read is sample..sample...sample. Where is the talent on here. Sampling is booming right now....but it wont always be here. They will be something else.....Hip-hop will forever change, from lyrics to production. Create your own style, try to create your own era, try to make your beats stand out from the rest. give the samples a rest, i mean how much can you sample. i mean the shit is good i did it myself, but that is not me. I thought there was enough variety in Hiphop at this point for Sampling not to even be a Issue 2 most Cats Ex. Neptunes Dre Timb LiL Jon Mannie Fresh SwizzBeatz an a whole lot of other Cats that aint Sample So if you Dont like the Sampling THere you go a whole list of other CHoices 2 Choose from

I have to say Wings was spot on with his post, and at the end of the day however someone chooses to make their beats its up to them, and other people should respect that.

Most people, from what I've gathered, seems to use a combination of sampling and composing anyway...one is not necessarily better than the other - its all about your own personal preference.

Loads of people on this forum, me included, play instruments, and even if they didn't it wouldn't mean that they aren't 'real beatsmiths'.

The bottom line is if somone has an urge to create music, be it by re-interpreting and re-arranging stuff off vinyl or sitting down at a keyboard and starting from scratch - they want to create and it doesn't matter which methods they use to express themselves musically.
