9th wonder isn't crap by a long shot. he does use alot of the same kicks and snares though. premo does too. thats why i'm not so hot on him anymore. just tired of the same drums.

Maybe cuz its tha magic formual that worked on there first LP so tha labels are like "Do exactly tha same thing you did last time"....Ya know?

I've only heard 4 songs from Lil Bother and some of Stepson and Threats, but
I think he's trying to signature his sound, In order to create an album with the same feel, which is something that alot of you say the game is lacking, you basically have to use very similar kicks,

Its seems when it comes down to it, its either real dusty and dirty, or clean punchy and compressed - i mean theres tons of kicks and snares, but those seem to be tha general catagories...
I think more of it may be in tha fact that most of beats are being laid down in tha same fashion...like tha same exact patterns and kit choices....I mean theres a lot of other things that you can throw in there to add percuasion....hell theres even a ton of different variants of hihats...think about how many types of hihats you hear in a song usually just a closed and a open...which doenst make it bad tho, shit i do that too, but some times to make tha beat busier you can other elements is all im tryin to say.

wrll depends what u listening to really as in the lyrical content or just the beat i got most of the justice league albums and he uses different kicks but to me if the beat and lyrics is ill there is no prob
