is cubase sx supose to lag?

jus wonderin do any of u guys think cubase sx is a little lazy when it comes to performin tasks , i dont know why when i do simple things like hit the play buttin chop a wave seems like it takes a second for it to actually happen,like sum kinda lag

if your talkin about latency you might need a better soundcard, or an ASIO driver, and make sure the driver is selected in cubase's preferances
