Scare tactic or not, that situation is not too far-fetched. We've already gotten some of our constitutional rights taken away (ex. the "patriot" act). And most of Americans embraced that so they "feel safe" from terrorists who linger. People have put too much of their liberties in the hands of a few. I always thought the patriot act was something that we should be concerned about.
