hahaha! great post! I remember some of those events, ILL was insane back in the day! but it was fun as hell! There were some dope ass beat makers that came through ILL! I learned soooo much on this site! I saw alot come and go but I gotta admit, Fade held it down pretty good!

to answer the question...after the apartment fire and losing all my gear, I actually started rebuilding my setup but then I just stopped. I think I just lost the desire to go through all that again in my later years plus, it happened around the downfall of hip hop which kinda killed any dreams of taking it to the next step for me. Getting older, having kids and taking on more responsibilities as an independent man took its toll on my life, I had to cut some shit out, unfortunately making beats was one. Now I'm into Art, it just about does what beat making was doing for me in the early 2000's. I never stopped loving that old school, east coast hip hop music though. Here are some of my artworks...

I'm selling it, and using it as promotional work to bring in more personal work...it gives potential clients an idea of what my drawings look like compared to the celebs that I draw hoping to get their business. I was recently hired by a local college to do a drawing that paid $750.00! I also did a personal drawing for an art collector that has the largest collection of African American Art in the United States!

Bro these are sick. Do you sell them? I completely feel you on the losing interest as you get older and grow thing. The one this we true artists all have in common though is that we may lose interest in music, but the art will be expressed through other mediums. Great stuff here bro!
