Like I said earlier in the thread, reaching out is like a hip hop ethic, its giving cats a shot to make their mark. Even Cube says, these cats aren't on his level...well him reaching legendary status is what seperates him form "everybody elses level". Cube didn't reach that level all by himself, he put in the work but the people that quote "aren't on his level" are the people that helped him obtain that level. That nigga is forgetting where he came from.
Secondly, like I said earlier in the thread...lol, these cats that are coming up would not be in contact with Cube if they didn't have some potential, record labels can't afford nor will they sign a bunch of nobodies. Everybody with the right potential deserves a chance, nobody in this forum came out the womb running, you got to crawl first. Cube is saying NO, you got to be on my level before I'll even fugg with you. Michael Jordan didn't come out of college a superstar, he obtained that title after he was in the pros. The Chicago Bulls gave him a shot and it paid off.
Now comes the part where we say, he's a grown man, he's Cube, he's a legend, he's not obligated to do ish for these newcomers which is VERY true BUT that spoils the game, that hurts the ethics of the game, being a grown man actually supports the reason why he SHOULD reach out. Thats what a grown man would do, an imature child would be more likely to turn their back on those looking for direction. People make mistakes, all people...Cubes mistake is turning away from the people that reach to him (in fact, he should be honored), our mistake (at this point, but still to be determined...) is putting Cube in legendary status.
