Hello Illmuzik Family,
Yesterday I was one of the fortunate few in New York who grabbed Logic pro 8 and let me say that : THIS PROGRAM IS SIIIIICKCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!
First, It took almost an hour at the Apple store to download JUST the 1st of 6 cd's/dvd's of this program on my Macbookpro. It got to the point to where the Apple one on one specialist had to constantly ask the Apple Certified technician for help only to realize that they both were puzzled at the dynamics of this newly stocked product.
After they only installed of of the cd's (Due to a space issue on my limited harddrive) did they suggest that I install the other 6dvd's/cd's onto my external Lacie hard drive because my mac was stuffed.
HERES THE GREAT PART:
I took my Mac home and started to play around with the effects on each track(By the way, IM A TOTAL NEWB TO DAW'S AND LOGIC---I GAVE AWAY MY MBOX2)
When I put too many effects on a drum kit from one of the thousand Apple loops, my macbookpro gave a prompt telling me that I have overloaded my CPU and that I should make adjustments.
Aside from my initial play around goof ups, I seem to be progressing well. The funniest part of my Logic investment is the HUGE Operator Manuals. Since the new Logic Pro 8 has incorporated "Mainstage", "Soundtrack Pro" as well as a few other items there are a couple of huge manuals. CRAZY!!!!! LOL
I will tell you more of my SUPER-NEWB progress as I go further. As for now, Logic Pro will be the cave that I will be in for a long while before I climb Mount LEARNING CURVE!!!!LOL
By the way, has anyone else here took the "First time leap" like me with LOgi Pro 8???
Holla back!!!!!!!!!!!!
