I have Dr.Boss SP 303 Roland..

it has 8 pads and alot of effects..but i dont kno when to use it...becuase i easily chop loops in wave editors and make beats with patterns on software...

So do you hardware users have a preference to when u use ur sample..ex (when i do my drums..i hit my pads...or when i sample my turntable..)

Also does anyone have or used anything in the sp series and how did it work out for you?

I had the sp 505.
Great unit. The chopping feature was my favorite thing.
The sound quality was amazing. I did a hot ass track in it, but the next day I packed it up and sent it back because I had hard time finding my way around the unit. I hate to learn new hardware!!!
