I saw it but I kinda ruined it because I made my sister tell me everything. So I knew when all the "jump" parts were coming. The CGI made the darkseekers a little phony looking but they were still kinda creepy. And the theater was filled with a bunch of ghetto ass muthafukas so there were a lot of babies crying and dumb as comments that ruined the atmosphere.
I will say this though, Will has his acting game right. His performance was on point. There were a couple of times I really felt bad for the dude. None of the parts with the dog becuase those felt were kinda forced but there's a part where he was begging for a response... fuct me up a little.
Had it been me, I would have spent a least one night a week, posted up like a fukn sniper, killing darkseekers... for real.
And I woulda boned that zombie after I slipped the roofie.

eh .. its was ok ... reminded me of 28 days/weeks later except not as good lol ... the best part of the movie was the crazy-ill trailer for the new batman movie ..wow.. i hope the movie the lives up to that trailer cuz that the best trailer i have ever seen before for any movie.. really.
hell yeah, i saw that trailer too and I can't wait.
anyway, went to see it with my girl last night, it wasn't that good with all the hype around it. I'll just leave it at that, go see for yourself and be the judge.
damn all of yall that are saying it wasnt good/sucked, ur fuckin buggin!!! lol.... that was easily one of the best movies shown in theaters in years, right up there with 300, my advice is u should go see it, its worth the money, that movie really pulls you in, there are some parts when u actually get startled n shit, and all around it was a sick movie so go see it, even better if u spark a lil L right before it

.... if you really compare 300 to the movies that came out the past couple years (not counting comedy thats on a whole different ground)... i really cant think of another movie that was better than it, people hacnt seen something good in a while so 300 comes out and everyone watches it already adjusted to the shit movies out then 300 gets overrated, but movies like grudge 3, texas chainsaw massacre.. those were all bullshit, hasnt been a good movie out in cinema for a while now

I haven't seen it yet, I might have to check out my friendly neighbourhood purveyor of unauthorised DVDs to see if they have it yet.
As for other films out in the past few years; well 300 wasn't terrible, I sorta enjoyed it on a mindless level but it's not a quality film really, and as 7th Angel pointed out, grossly historically inaccurate.
There have been quite a few good films in the past couple of years: American Gangster; Pan's Labyrinth; Hot Fuzz; 3:10 To Yuma; Little Miss Sunshine; The Last King of Scotland; The Proposition; Tsotsi; Somersault; The Promise; Crank; Apocalypto; Babel; V for Vendetta; Inland Empire; Inside Man; and probably a heap more I've forgotten or haven't seen.
Maybe we just have different ideas on what a good film is.
excuse the drunkness, i didnt even think of some of those movies lol my bad, yea the story line on 300 was poor, however, i do think it set some new grounds with the amount of cgi and effects they used on it, which was why it was so entertaining and good, i saw the making of it and pretty much everything around them is fake, they were doing the fight scenes in white rooms, pretty amazing how they put it all together and made it look that real and detailed

i remember when they were shootin "I am Legend" in the city and they were at grand central station and had a fucked up taxi hooked up to a tow truck to look like a scene and while all the tourist was watchin the taki and the tow truck Will shot a quick scene like 10 feet away on the next corner, shit was brilliant.....cuz they got me too. i was pissed.
