aight..i was watching dub j beatmakin videos..one of em video..he played sample which he gonna use for making a beat..he said he took the vocals out..eq..n other stuff..what i wanna ask is..how do you really take the vocals out? can u take out the drums too so u can get just the instrument or the sample without the drums?..how do you do all this? im currently using cool edit pro 2..

In that specific video he talks about how it's a split stereo record... Alot of old records are that way, meaning the vocals are on the left and instruments on the right, not always but sometimes you can get lucky.... There is no way possible yet to extract vocals from the record all you can do is add effects and eqing and it does help, just play around with it... Its calld filtering and it takes a good amount of time and understanding to get good at, so get to practicing.... Oh yeah, and get yourself some good plug-ins too...

yea they Got some Vocal Removal Fx's but they will sometimes take away some quality in your sample .
