I was just wondering do most of yall combine a bunch of different samples from different records into your song or do you normally use 1 record for a whole song and just grab different pieces threw out the record ?
and drums dont count !
It depends.... Sometimes, using just one part from a song and flipping it will work, other times you gotta take a few from diff songs to get the result...
That depends on the feel of the song that I am trying to create and what the record I'm sampling from has to offer. I may use 4 or 5 different records for one beat or just one sound and create the rest myself. If I am trying to get the actual feel of, for example, an 80's record then I might use more from that same record in order to make a statement of that time period or groove.
ONE
damn, besides all the quarrelling , i use as many samples from the same track that will work and complement the beat i am working on. i mean some beats only take 1 sample, some take 3, depends on the beat, depends on the sample. no beef needed. p.
Yeah. It usually get a bit chaotic if using like 3 different songs to sample... I tend to use 1 song and hustle with that. If doesn't sound good then I might use some other songs, but usually it does not work
