Just asking. I think its time for a change, everyone has there own style, but it comes and goes. Seems like we are in an 80's style rewind for the music.
Whats ya'll opinion?

hopefully not long
Well believe it or not, the majority of record companies do pick up artists and songs that did create a buzz from the local scene. They don't pick up these dudes and tell them to pull off a gimmick, there was already a local following to the songs on the southern-dance-tip. And as long as these dudes and songs keep generating interest, the southern beats aren't going anywhere.
I just wish there would be more quality control and balance in the music business nowadays but that's a completely different subject...
You're one in a few that get that point. Why people keep hoping for the down fall of a music is beyond me. I don't get it! Pisses me off actually. Nobody down south wished, hoped or pray'd for the east to fall off or any other region for that matter. And if you live in Atlanta but wish the A would fall off....you need to be getting back to where you come from. That shit right there makes absolutely no sense. You won't turn the south into Chicago, New York or any other region nor should you try. It's pointless and that's hustling backwards. The labels aren't listening to the cry of the haters, so at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what they hope for!
I'm with u manguino....the only problem is that there's no balance! I guarantee the haters want to be able to do shows in the south but they want the music to dry up and die, at least what they deem bullshit anyway. Them dudes built a following like you said and got there shit on there local radio stations. That's what made the labels come knocking. The nay sayers need to do that in there Kneck of the woods before that automatically start hating. If your people aren't following your music then who's fault is that? lol
This shit always comes up and it's always the same story.
thing is to hear dude conversate on a t.v. interview like I heard on 106 & park, he seems to be an educated cat. Is his persona a gimmick? I figure you'd know being from Fla.
Hell yea its a gimmick he aint really like that,
there are a NUMBER of cats out there like that right now.. Ya boi rich boi, cat who sounds all ignorant in interviews and shit right...He went to FAMU and graduated with a degree in eletrical engineering, i went to school with the cat.. Same with your boi t-pain, he went to FSU with me, but yet this whole ignorant persona is being perpetuated all threw hip hop.. but since the south is hot right now thats its taking its form.... i dont know now maybe its casue im getting older and i have a problem with ignorant's
"How long will the South beat style be on the charts? "
