It takes me 2-3 hours to make a beat but my problem resides in my equipment!! I only use a mouse and placin all those little cubes in Reason takes time!! loll If I had some hardware stuff I'd probably do it in half and hour or so!!

Yeah, I feel all you kats on the beat making time. Since, I started this thread i don't take as long to make a beat. The basic bed of my tracks can take from 30-45 min. After that the post production mix and mastering is all up to how I want the track to bang out thru the speakers. I just do what I feel is the best flavor for the sound.

I tell you this
The average time I spend makin' my beats are about 2 to 3 days
I know, I know, you might wonder what the fuck I'm been doing while making beats
See I'm still a rookie in this hip-hop making process using FLoops of course
Once I master this, I might upgrade and start using Reason or ProTools plus a MIDI keyboard
But right now I using FLoops and I'm getting good every day.

But I have to give it up to Dr. Dre also too
