How Does Protools Mbox Work?????

Just Want A Basic Run Down On How Protoold M-box Version Works.....do You Play Your Song Into The Software And It Spilts It Into Sperate Tracks........or Do You Have To Record Each Track Seperatly........and When Ur Gonna Record Vocals, How Do U Do This...just Record The Vocals On A Seperate Track????.....thanks Incog

ProTools is a sequencer/mixing software, that needs it's own hardware to function. One of those hardware options (the smallest and cheapest) is the M-Box. It's a USB soundcard with 2 lines out, 2 inserts and 2 lines in (that can be used for recording guitar, vocals etc - it includes preamps).

You record each track seperately, vocals too. It's hard to know exactly what answers you are seeking, you'll have to be more specific.
If you're totally blank on these types of things, I suggest that you visit www.digidesign.com and read what you can there, if that doesn't help,then nothing beats going to your local store and see the goods and ask them all the questions you have.
