I used to use Cubase - didnt like it..altho i know it well..didnt feel the love.

So i export from FL - and mix in CEP

I got ableton now as well - seemingly ill be mixing my composed beats and creating them within that app alone.

M powered - may be just used for when i do vocals.

Logic 5 (recording, mixing, multi-tracking), Wavelab (with lots of plug-ins) and Cooledit for mastering..

i have cool edit but the problem is i dont really know know how to use it for mastering, also i dont have the right connections at the moment to record from my mp to my pc.

how would i connect the mpc to the pc and then what is the process to master each track?

thanks.

lol...why dont u just use cool edit.

It does what Wavelab does....and it does what you do with logic.

????

That seems mad redundant.

i track everything from the mpc and triton into protools, then i throw a mix on it, i do the pre mastering in protools as well, then i bounce the track over to wavelab for the final mastering.

WHAT THE FUCK!? REDUNDANT? Look here "bigshot." I dont' just use cool edit because, after Logic's multi tracking (which is wayyy better than cool edit) I take my file into wavlab do what I do with it (don't clip it) and then I take it to cool edit and give it a light clip because the wav file changes as you amplify it... That's just what i do, homie! Everyone does shit different....
