house music producers at illmzik?

are there any house music producer at illmuzik? just wanted to ask what soft/hardware they use.and how they sound like.i wanna try out diffrent styles to get a wider look in producing muzik.wanna try out sum diffrent genres out u know.to sharpen skillz in general. think this should be very good for us all to try out new things just dont stick to one style.my neighbour tried to make a house trance techno wuteva that was it came really wack hahaahah.i never tried.any advices recommendations are welcome.i was clubbin in a house club last night and i thought damn this shit could be interesting to try out.

I'm working on a new thing right now.. it's electric hiphop with real bugged out beats, with hard synth leads and real freaked out shit, i'll put something on tonight for u to check out!

Don't if anyone is up for rhyming on that type shit, but it's hella fun making it..so i'ma keep doing it..:D

I use Ableton Live for all that.. it's nice.. plus a shitload of plugins

open up fruity loops. dont change the tempo. use the defualt drum kit already there. put a kick on every beat (4 beats). a clap in its appropriate place. pan the hi hat slightly to the left and play it on every other note (volume at 50%). now, go into the 'packs' and go into the sytrus and load up anything from "Sequence". play it. and u got urself a house beat. maybe add some of those cheesy strings in there.

lol....

but yeah doing a house beat with FL is extremely easy. I don't like the basic FL packs but any Pop sounding kick with a nice compressor might do the trick...

and adding a little reverb/ delay to like a rhodes or something will also give it a kind of housey feel...

LOL as usual your SO right. Even with hardware its easy. Probably a little more fun cuz it isnt just 1-2-3-4 presto done but its easy as hell. Nice trak there but REAL house is old school house. It was incredibly simple and the beauty of it was that it was simple and catchy.
Really house is just modern disco, same beat different flips.

Yeah i agree with Sanova and Relic up to a point.. it's the swing and the hihat what makes a housedrumbeat dope.. and that's pretty sticky, íts not as easy as just putting ur drum beats in a row.. and call it a house record.. but the basics is in there yeah..

yea ive made a few house tracks i got a lot of m8s that DJ it out so i make stuff for their sets a lot of the time ! its no more easy than making hip hop you could just say loop a james brown breakbeat and loop a sample over the top and job done but we know its not that simple !

www.myspace.com/formantics , my "other" music page. Been doing hiphop and 4 to the floor just as long, the techno genre alone has a lot of diversity in it. Lotta crap, but also a lot of interesting stuff. I mean if you like gear and techno and you have a shitload of knobs to tweak,,,, some beer to it! and Im rockin it just as bad as hiphop gets. Producing wise I have a lot of occasion where im making a techno track that ends up being a hiphop track and vice versa.

i made a song that did well called infectious realy basic ppl loved it so i made a remix to it and i had did a 16 on it ppl loved that even more it got me 3000 plays on myspace


i did like 9 songs around techno total so yeah

Done some in the past, the future has me doing a Deep House EP as Subject28 for SOMEBODY'S label. I have raw ass, seriously unfinished deep house, detroit techno, ghettotech, and hip hop tracks on my laptop right now. At some point I'mma dump the files to a thumbdrive and finish 'em up on my PC, where I have the horsepower to really do something (the laptop is a Pentium 233MMX).


Get a Rhodes VST. I use Lounge Lizard 2 and EVP73. A B3 and good piano sound is also good to have. Go download Rebirth to get your 909 fix and head over to Deep4Life.com and Naked-Music.com and go check out some decent house, then make your own.
