Hi Hats problem

I have a dope sample,got the beat all ready BUT...the hi hats on the sample are crazy loud and it sounds like the beat is skipping,it dont help cos the sample is very quiet and i had to crank up the volume of it which made the hats and bass totally dominate to the point where my drums are nearly silent

Any advice on how to remove hi hats from a sample?

Yeah..EQ would be the best idea.... pinpoint the actual frequency and just cut it.....

low pass dat shit clone it and hipass the clone copy and past the pattern and filter the hats out the best u can sometimes that works for me when i find a nice sample but kinda wana get rid of the drums in it so mine will cover them
