Hey all, I'm Leopard Cohen hailing from the frigid north of Canada (well, Victoria BC).
Thanks for welcoming me into your community, looking forward to contributing.
I'm part of a local beatmaker community in my city but I'm looking to expand my network of like-minded people.
I've been making beats for about 2 years now. My chief weapon is the SP404 . . . and Ableton. My two weapons are SP404 and Ableton . . . and various small synths . . . and an almost fanatical devotion to sampling.
I tend to make the type of music that I listen to - boom bap and trip hop, but I'm also influenced by folk, punk, jungle, etc.
It's all for fun, I'm not looking to make a career out of music.
That said, if an opportunity arises to do a dope collab and it goes platinum, I wouldn't say no!
I'll post some beats for feedback, will do the same for others, and appreciate the opportunity to share tips and tricks.
I have some older stuff on bandcamp (for free hosting, not because I'm looking to make $) plus a bunch of newer tracks that haven't been uploaded yet.
