Yeah thats Fight Klub (battle rap) type ish. As far as I know its still popular in the underground scenes here. Some of the battles get pretty dope though, youtube has a ton of them.

It's just because to me a freestyle is something over music. Plain and simple. I find that acapella freestyles are just talking, there's no flow whatsoever.
