Man,
It's freezing in NYC today. I've been in Chicago before, this is similar, windy and painful.
Today I was walking around on my lunchbreak, I see all of these people with scrunched up faces, bright red, wincing, kind of hilarious.
Anyways, I have a pair of Senheiser HD25's, got em online without seeing them first. When I got em, and found out they were all plastic, I was kind of pissed. Now that it's ice cold outside, I'm glad they're not metal.
All day, these things have been keeping me nice and warm, plus they sound great.
So basically, just wanted to post up and metnion that when winter comes, lose the earbuds, take out the big headphones and make the best of it...

Haha, I just realised this walking home last night listening to my Sennheiser HD202s that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I saw a Chinese guy with regular earmuffs on staring at me and thought to myself, "hahaha mine play music".

I don't wear big sized headphones for outsides use for listening to music, but i picked up a set of Sennheiser HD 215 some months ago and they have been the best i've had so far for using when late night mixing ect..., as i usually go through about 2-4 sets a year with either the cables getting damaged or them just falling to bits.

yeah, at first I was not crazy about them, prefering the md7506s, however they've grown on me and I really like the snug fit, the light weight, and the sound quality, definitely nice piece of gear.

My joints are just like yours though, within six months of owning them, the left ear shorted out. Everytime I put them on I need to wiggle the wire above the earpiece to get em working...

One final note about cold weather, I have an older Ipod nano, and that shit basically shuts down when it's cold out. I was surprised considering it has no moving parts, however I think that metal back gets cold and it just doesn't work. Once it warmed up it was fine.
