Has the Computer Monitor Ruined your Vision ?

3-4 years ago when I first got a Computer my Eyes were 20/20

Then all of a sudden I began 2 Notice a Change 6 months down the road when Driving, I couldint see the Signs From as far away as I use too.

Well within a Year and Half I Needed Glasses I couldint see The Blackboard in school at all Unless i was in the Front row

Now 3-4 years Later Im Basically Blind without my Glasses the Furthest I can see without them is like 4-5 feet infront of me

I keep Tellin People I want too Sue Compaq For Ruining my Eyes And im Starting too think if I found some Greedy Lawyer I'd have a good Case .

a while back i was having some real problems with constantly looking at the computer screen in order to make beats so i ended up getting an mpc. looking at the computer monitor didnt ruin my vision in any way but it made me tired quicker and ofcourse its much hader to be creative when you are tired. after realising how much more powerful software is compared to an mpc, i decided to switch back though. i spend way too much time in front of computers though. i hope my eyes dontget fucked like yours.

teh good news is that you can most likely improve your eyesight dramtacilly if you follow the correct techniques and commit to the exercises

I personally have never encountered a problem, and im in front of that bitch like 1/2 of the day, everyday....Plus, being diabetic makes me even more at risk for vision problems, yet, i seem to be doing just fine.

yeah man, lots of people go through what you are going through

our bodies have evolved over perhaps millions of years and for 99% of that time we were hunters, always looking on the horizon for prey (or potential attack). Our eyesight was always stimulated and was active and healthy. If you stick a screen in front of your eyes for 4, 8 or 12 hours a day, you are most likely going to have eyesight issues sooner or later

But seriously, I don't know if it's ruined my vision, but it does make me feel tired and my eyes also "feel tired". If it is true though, we can sue like, everybody (at least I hope so!).

Lol Aint Had that Problem Since I was 13/14

But Yea Alot of this Is probably my Fault My Screen Has Been Fucked up bad Now for the last 6 months Basically the Screen starts shaking outta nowhere and gets really blurry

Yo man, that EXACT shit happened to me.

Seriously, it tripped me out when I read it cause no one else has ever mentioned the same thing. I've been using computers for 10 years now, and my vision is crazy worse...

Ive seen these glass or plastic things they put over screens in offices to help the people who are staring at a comp screen all day, maybe you need something like that. I dont know were u would get 1 though

I recommend upgrading to an LCD if you don't already have one. Even good 19" screens go for $300 - $400. I'm on the computer 12 hours a day (work and hobby), and lot of headaches and eyestrain just went a way after I got this thing. At least at home. I'm still stuck with a CRT at work, but lowering the brightness a bit, and training myself to sit back from the monitor helped. Try enabling cleartype in windows as well which will help you see text a little better when your sitting back from the monitor. If all else fails, get you a Dell 2405fpw (24") and enable large fonts.
