guitar midi controller

hey, i'm thinking it would be cool to get a guitar midi controller, as i was playing guitar for years before starting making beats and would be able to write melodies/basslines a whole lot better.
does anyone have one of these? any reccomendations? i've had some trouble finding them on the internet, but i know they exist.
it would be better to get some kind of attachment to add on to my current guitar, but i suppose anything would be good.

um, i would look at something like the gk by roland, if you hit ebay and search roland gk, all kinds of matches will come up, there is several models by now. Also i would note that you must buy the p/u aswell as the box, p/u goes on the guitar and then into the box and then from there into your sound module. It's pretty sick, i have this insight because my dad uses one, you can do some pretty tight one man band stuff. hope that helps
