Makre sure you get the Reference Manual from the AKAI PRO site. The in-box user manual just skims the functions of the 4000.

I messed with one for about week....it's a sick machine no doubt.....have fun...you won't even scratch the surface in a day or even a week i suggest tryna find some forums and hook up with some cats that know thier way around and actually know tricks on it....that's my advice...Where is that guy ARTMPC4000 he can help I bet...

Max out the ram for sure, modules for it are cheap now. I'm up in the MPC Forums too (www.mpc-forums.com), if you ever need advice, holler at us up in there too.

Don't forget the reference manual.

defintely wanna cop some of the emu modules ... vintage keys w/ x treme lead/planet phatt.planet earth.. its the most econmical choice imo .. u can get one with 4 rom expansion for under 1000 if u shop right
