I was listening to Kanye's "Good Life" produced by him and Toomp and was wondering if anyone knows what types of tweaking or filters were used to get Michael Jackson's voice to sound like an instrument. Just a general question about manipulating a voice or song like that to sound like an instrument. Thanks in advance!

I don't think they were tweaked, they were already like that. Check out Michael Jackson's "PYT" on the Thriller album. To me the tempo is slowed down a bit.

yeea it was already in the sample. But I think they used a talk box for that effect on the original PYT track like zap n roger

acually i understand what mang is sayin now , it seems lyk at the beginning of the song its the sample , but its actually a synth that are the same notes as the sample

Yeah, Blazed. I think he tweaked his synth tell it matches the sample.
