jeezz .... most of that is not a suprise though ... the biggie shit is news to me, snopp too (although his shits been horrible since doggystyle so he needs to go back to whatver hes was doin then) .. but foxy, jermain, bow wow, dre, diddy, i knew them niggas been using ghostwriters, and i know neyo basically supplies half of the R&b hits u hear on the radio..... its funny .. "horse and carraige" was a dope song and i always thought cam sounded real diffrent on that record compared to his other music. i know some shit has been left off this list ... i know eminen has written some dre joints.. and aasim and pharoah monch wrote alot of diddys later stuff ...

technically tho .. alot of shit is co written or ghostwritten .. i mean by evryone .. even me ... on our album i take ideas and phrases from a couple diffrent people... sometimes other people hear something in the beat that u dont and u take it and run with it.... my boy who doesnt even rap came up with two hooks on my album and a bridge section for one of the joints... class gave me ideas and lines.... shit my girl even came up with a hot line that i threw in there ... techinally thats co-writing and I see no problem with that... but in a case like foxy brown thats sad because her whole career is made off of having niggas write her shit ... i guess thats why she lives in a regualr ass brooklyn brownstone down the street from my boy ... and BOW WOW .. whoa dont even let me start that one....

Man... all them other artists i could care less about ,
but Biggie??? !!!
wow... that kinda hurt... but before i jump to conclusions i gotta know what they mean by ghostwrite...

Like ash already said... if dudes is sitting in the studio and gives biggie and idea for a line in a song or whatever.. then cool that shit is normal... you take ish from your enviroment...

But if they penned the ENTIRE song and gave that shit to biggie and was like.. here... read this... Then man... that shit hurts ALOT.....

Atleast i dident my boys OUTKAST on that list... if there names would have been up there, i may have done something drastic!!!!!!!!!!!

Desprite that this is RAP not R&B when somebody writes your shit in hip hop ... its like whats the point ,why are you rappin??

aint nobody supposed to be writin ya shit.

for me an mc is the whole package.. knowing what they came through, their perspective, the stories and the voice. you can experience a lot by this. but seeing all of these ghostwritten songs shows exactly how commercialized hiphop has been for a long time.

was any of the wu in there??? hahah please tell me mace didn't ghost for big L too

woohff

I remember some Snoop interview where he basicly said that they (I remember it was Kurupt and someone else?) wrote eachothers verses for a song...

That biggie shit was a surprise... could it been just a hook or something that was ghostwritten?

Jada being such a popular ghostwriter was a little suprise too.

those are just commercial radio singles .. ... all the real heat seems to have come from biggie himself tho ... sometimes artists need help writin stuff thats gonna crossover like that... i hear what u guys are sayin ... but in a case like biggies ... i can give him a pass ... evryone knows puffy was in control for that second album anyway ... and if ur gonna rate biggies career on 2 songs then do u but its not like when i go listen to biggie i throw in "mo money mo problems" ..... im throwin on "warning", machine gun funk.back in the days, unbelivable, long kiss, etc .... u get the point. i mean this news is suprising, but i wouldnt go so far as to say it "hurts" lol ... u guys are dramatic as hell lol .... if unbelievable or warning or another crazy vivid geniusly laid down inticate classic was ghost written them i might be "hurt"....

son, i dont care who ya are. No pass! I understand what ya sayin, but ghostwritin,,,come on bro. I can't let that slide. And I would be sayin this if it were anyone else too. It's one thing to have a co=writer which in most cases means they helped wit the hook or even some back ups,,,but no ghostwriters. None. Never. Ever. ........Ever. I wish this thread didn't exist. I was never a big Biggie fan, but I enjoyed some of his tracks,,,and thank God nuttin from Ready to Die is on there!

PS:
NEVER.
