Ill beat fo sho' one of Premier's best, just wondering what sort of guitar was it that he sampled, I would really love to be able to play my own melodies as it sounds so cool. I know that the sample comes from Joe Simon's 'Drowning in the Sea love' but have no idea how to recreate it myself.

I am not much of an expert on guitars, but I would guess that it is an electric guitar with some pedal action going on, on "Drowning in the sea of love".

i havent listened to that tune in time, but im quite sure its some kind of electric guitar.

even when you find out what model gtr he had and how he played it with whatever effects he had on it, your recorded melody aint gunna sound the same. primo sampled it and theres a quality in sampling gives it that feel. im not saying that what you play wont sound good but the fact that it was sampled contributes to that sound your hearing.
