Maybe the lack of a club/radio joint or a Just Blaze/Kanye joint is a sure sign that maybe just maybe hiphop is taking a turn for the better, by appealing to the underground market and selling by word of mouth instead of radio rotation. Maybe im reading into it too far but I will take it as a positive step in the right direction for hiphop as a whole. Im quite surpised that JB & KW were collaborating on something and it didnt make the final cut tho.
But hell to me hiphop is about people I havent heard of. When they become popular I look for something new. I like exclusive shit that nobody else is rocking. Madlib was that man for quite a while, now Im looking for the next big thing. Id definitly bump that "Spit That Shit" in the mix, to me thats the epitamy of hiphop, Im off to check out the rest of the album now.
