Kevin A: To be honest I was just listening through the track and thought it was nothing special really... UNTIL I reached the point in the track that you hear in my hook.... I thought 'NAHH THIS IS THE SHIT, I GOTSTA FLIP THIS'

CampO: Well at first I was giving it away because i couldn't flip it... if I' totally honest... Then some cat told me I couldn't flip it cuz it was in 6/8 time... After he explained to me what 6/8 time was I was then able to flip it... But seen as it was already on my site I thought I may as well give everyone else the opportunity to flip it... especially cats who find it hard to dig.

How would you feel if someone took one of those songs thats on your website and did that with it? I'm just curious. The whole time I was making my extention I had to really consider how much,(as in lenth) of the composition I could use without feeling like I'm stealing. Then the last thought that crossed my mind was, this some type stuff kanye would be playing with. I got some other work to do, but i'll let you hear what I've done. I have a fairly different approach to using this other artists work than you did.

Kevin A: Its hip hop mayne, thats the idea... to flip something old into something new. If you dont like the idea then don't do it. To me sampling is hip hop.

If you would read you would see it's not a complaint, but a question. If it's too sensitive a topic that's understandable. As for hip hop/rap or whatever, that really has no value of respect to me, roots or none of that stuff. I've actually been disapointed with it for along time and it is one of the major reasons I started producing in the 1st. My question wasn't a attempt to a justification either, just the honest truth, but there is no honor amonst thieves so they say. Sorry you took it the wrong way, but I already knew that posibility before I asked. THankx for puttin me D with the song tho, I actually like it for what it is, and have added it to my playlist, I really enjoy the song.

Phiba: You should make this a reoccuring thing. I would be down to trade samples to flip beats out of. I actually have traded samples with other members and have seen other members trade with each other and I think that it helps spur creativity.


Props to Phiba for free stuff. If I can squeeze a sample out of that I will send you the link.

how about setting up a soundclick page with a public password?
everyone taking a sample from it, should drop a quick message
about hes or shes using it.
is there a better page than soundclick? where you can post higher quality
