I agree there is some great info here but it could still be a little better. Most of the info in the thread refers to how to basically improve sounds/samples you have through EQs and filters however whenI originally started this thread I was wanting to know the best ways to get the most out of a sample that has sounds you want to bring out and sounds you want to minimise. It's all good though as I've learnt a lot already.
What would be PERFECT is a filtering/EQ tutorial of some sort. As time goes by if my skill in this area becomes solid I'll do one but this is still pretty new to me so it may be a while.
on a side note, I heard 9th Wonder has crazy filtering skills
