filtering basslines

use a lowpass filter and play with it until u get the sound u looking for.

Lower all of the levels except the last 2 or 3 (with the Parametris EQ)... Do that with a couple EQ's until you get the desired sound you are looking for... Some bass lines will come out shitty and others will come out nice... Make sure the bass isn't clippng, maybe add a compressor to thicken it up a little bit..

Use Fruity Free Filter, and then go to the preset subwoofer pass.

u do this if u just want the bassline from a sample instead of the whole instruments.

add another bass you got lying around to give the filtered bass more dynamics and power if it is needed...

look near the bottom right corner where it says "filter",
click the drop-down tab n select LPx2, SVF LP or SVF LPx2,
play the sample n tweak the "cut" n "res" knobs untill u get a filtered B-line!

I use this technique sometimes myself. However, sometimes you may want to still use the para eq to separate frequencies from the kick so that the low end doesn't get too muddy.. I think it all boils down to your ear and what type of sound you are looking for...

filtering for bass = lp filter
filter out bass = hp filter

i do that as well, with some basslines it works amazingly
