File Size Reduction

Whenever I export my finished beats from FL Studio 5 in WAV files they are somewhere in the region of 80 – 100mb. This is obviously not ideal as I need to upload the files so that my MC can write to them.

Does anyone else have this problem? What are the average file sizes of everyone’s beats in WAV format? Is there anyway I can significantly reduce the file size without impacting too much on sound quality?

if u want the best quality u cant avoid the big file size.if u want to give it just so the mc can write to it then just send it as an mp3.after he finished his writing he could record his vocal tracks and then send the seperated vocal tracks to you.that would be smaller in file size instead of you sending him all your BOUNCED tracks.

If you are exporting to 16bit, 44khz...they should average somewhere in the range of 10MB per minute of wav you have....a 4 minute joint should be around 40MB or so...

Ok thanks guys. So basically the file size is to be expected and there's no way to reduce it without quality loss.
