Hey Peeps Whats Good.

Just wondering what genre or artist that people like to sample from so i can get an idea of where to begin, ive never sampled off vynil so i want a check list to be able to turn to at a record store and know what to possibly buy for future sampling, i love acoustic guitar (spanish style) if anyone knows any artist that do this besides santana lol well let the list begin and thanks for the help.

Even though you can never get it cleared (I just do it because I enjoy it), I LOVE sampling me some George Harrison.

thats not cocky man, thats truth, if u let other people decide your goals and future, your a fag.and a whole lot of other things. and u got 1 response out of like a thousand members, i wonder why. ''this is what i originaly posted "Just wondering what genre or artist that people like to sample from" thats not saying hey who you sampling from''
uhhhhh ya it is.
u live in san diego county theres no record stores there? i understand u might not have any fuckin clue as to where to start. but all u literally gotta do is go to a record shop buy like 1 record of a variety of genres, see what interests you and dig deeper . thats the point of diggin

I personally sample almost entirely from horror movies/OSTs. This can vary from CD/Vinyl/VHS/Laserdisc ......

Anyway, while not particularly obscure or hard to find ( but that's just as well, I'm with The Bastard on this one ) you can easily find and make good beats out of almost any 70's Itialian thriller score.

I'd suggest starting with some scores for Lucio Fulci movies (not ones by Goblin, unless you really like their sound), but by Fabio Frizzi. Really nice eerie strings and what have you.

This is a hobby for me and one I don't intend to profit from. You should realize though, that for many members here this hobby is something they wish to make a profit from someday and with that being the case you can't expect threads like this to yield very much worthwhile feedback.

And again, I'm with The Bastard. Just go to the local store, blow some cash, and stumble upon a gem by chance. That's half the fun.
