Evolving my set up

I was just using Cool Edit Pro and Fruity Loops and now im evolving my set up.

I Have a Stanton STR8-50 turntable, a Numark DM-1550 DJ Mixer, and a stereo to hear my shit.

I just now invested into an Akai S950, it seems to be in perfect condition i just dont have cords to hook it into anything.

And i also got a Shure PG58 microphone. I plan on changing that i need to know what mic I need to get and also what kind of Mic Preamp i should get (If this helps on which mic i should get im looking for rugged vocals, wu tang, gangstarr, ect). Im on a cheap budget of a couple hundred dollars or less.

All i need is to know how to hook up the S950 so i can load samples onto the computer, which mic/ mic preamp i need to get.


If yall could help me out id be very appreciative.

Wat u need is a Dynamic mic, no Condensor.

For a mic-preamp the M-Audio DMP3 is one of the best under $200, at $160.
