"windows xp + service pack2 has build in drivers for SATA HARDRIVES"

no it doesnt.

well not for all SATA controllers but for the most common sata controllers it has build in drivers, of course it cant have all drivers from the world lol.u should have a mainboard disk/cd with the SATA driver if windows doesnt recognize your drive use the driver from the disk/cd.

my SATA controller is recognized by windows without installing xtra drivers from the mainboard. pure magic heh? LOL.if u dont know now u know. ;)

actually it works because your mainboard is emulating ATAPI so xp supports it, not because it supports SATA. XP "thinks" its IDE. Cool huh

dude plz...

you telling me i have a sata controller that emulates a sata drive into an ide drive so windows can recognize my sata as a ide drive?

seriously that makes absolutely no sense.think about it.

my mainboard doesnt emulate shit it has a true SATA CONTROLLER FROM NVIDIA.

interesting that my BIOS recognise the sata and that the windows hardware manager shows me the sata controller with the sata drive there must be some crazy thing going on hahahahaha.but maybe i should get a mac right? no fucking way!

like my man just blaze said i use windows cause the internet dudes got lots of cracks hahaahahahah

look at it when you are loading windows, it says ATAPI controller not SATA.

"seriously that makes absolutely no sense.think about it."

It does Look it up. search IDE emulation in google. Thats whats it doing. You do know I work in an I.T. shop right?

http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org/how_do_i_install_windows_xp_on_a.htm

for more proof that XP does not have actual SATA drivers.

ill check it out! but dude the windows hardware manager DONT show me an ide drive it says SATA. if this is all emulated then its pure bullshit how can i let the drive run in true sata mode then? with the origianl driver from nvidia?

*edit*
the link that u give me shows that windows xp has no sata driver wich is true
but iam talking bout windows xp with the SERVICE PACK 2 wich HAS sata driver included.
