EMU sound cards

EMU was making big efforts to enter the soundcard /software sampling market at the beginning of this year (lots of advertising). right now it looks like things have cooled down. anybody use their ish? is it any good? I don't intend to buy any of their stuff - just curious

They had problems with the dsp-vst utilities but theyre still top notch cards, I mean 24bit 192kHz and 120dB SNR ( output in dB untill THD comes in ) for 99 bucks is still the cheapest you can get. If you want the pristine EMU then go for the M models with PT converters.

i go the 1212 card,its pretty nice only 2 analog mono inputs tho, i wish i went with a 10 input card myself. but it comes with a ''sister'' card that takes digital spdif, and i believe optical input

Im rollin with the 1820 and its been great ever since i got it....Plenty of connectivity for any kind of task.

You should be able to buy the breakout box seperately if you want more inputs. Than you have 8 I/O n ADAT.
