Man, E-Jay is alright if you're not AT ALL serious about making beats... It contains loops and samples with a certain music style (like house, electro, D&B, hiphop, etc...) that you only need to put together. Frankly, you will be able to make beats even if you have no talent at all, and you won't have to use you imagination at all...

Sounds great, huh?

You know what, unlike most people who think dre is god producer I on the other hand have lost alot of respect for his earlier works after reading the scratch interview. Although Dre is good at being a commercial producer, or doing what ever he does, learning that he made all of those N.W.A cuts with drum loops really put his earlier production in perspective for me. Me if I don't do it, I don't want it. I want to make it tight, not depend on something else to make it tight. Just give me the pencil and i'll draw my own picture to color, keep your coloring book. ALthough I learn alot from that interview, and I understand that Dre works differently now, I don't really care for Dre production. He's just a cat who had a opportunity and capitalized on it. Anyone of us could have been in the same position doing the samething, but alot of us are not in the position to " take the time to perfect the beats," if we were, their would be alot more hot producers than on illmuzik than what it is. So naturally it's taking us longer, because other things face supply and demand. For a person like me all this other stuff does for me is boost my game, because I know what I have to compete with. I'm competing with not completely honest people, people who take all the short cuts, people who got the raw talent, people who are taking the easiest shortcut and so on. I have to be the best in all areas of production to compete, that makes me better and more versatile, because not only can I use the loops if I decided (highly unlikely) but I can make a bomb one from scratch. Extend yourself, don't chase your tale. FL , Reason , or a MPC.

Swizz Beats gets sued -

"According to 88hiphop.com, Swizz Beats might have lifted certain tracks from keyboard manufacturers. The companies are saying that Swizz lifted the built-in melodies from the machines and used them for the Ruff Ryders' single "Down Bottom" and Eve's "Whatcha Want." A Ruff Ryders publicist had no comment".

Ejay is a fuckin joke. Sure you can import your own waves, but your are EXTREMELY limited as to the arrangement. Like my man said, use Fruity Loops or something else. Ejay is more of a 'game'. If you are serious you need to look towards a professional product. Good luck.

On the real faceslaper, only the last line of my first post was referenced to you. My comment was in response to K.C's post. Secondly don't put my name in your post like you bout to set me straight. For crying out loud you were considering ejay as a serious production tool. As far as I'm concerned, you need take any advice you can get.

Can somebody tell me how you go from FL studio to Ejay?

But can you make a decent track? I doubt it, expecially if your thinking about using ejay you stupid rookie. Anybody can download the crack to any of those programs and have them without knowing how to used them, Opps am I on your street? How about you did buy them, only a dummy would buy 3 programs that do the samething in nature. It's not my fault your too stupid to see I was trying to help you, maybe that's why your too stupid to make beats and was thinking about using ejay. Look Ejay, I'm tired of talking about stupid you proved yourself to be in as little as 8 posted. I was trying to be nice, but you had to come back calling me a A-hole, when your the one trapped in your own paradox of stupidity. Don't cut the hand that can feed you, I could have helped you but now I'll think twice. later kid

I really didn't want this to happen. Forgive me :(
