Waves has got some dope "specialty" plugs too. DeEsser is awesome, their Maximizers are pretty good as well. MaxxBass and RBass are phenoms not to mention their x-Crackle, x-Hum, x-noise, and x-click.
Its all a matter of opinion but I really think some of their plugs are as good as can be gotten (from anywhere).

Check out Delay Designer or even a real space echo to see how not true your statement is.
Dude, there is nothing on delay designer that you cant add another plug and get the same level of sculpting if not more. Forreal, the resonance and pitch is the closest you'll get but even then, theres plugs. The upside to using other plugs is, your CPU is spared. You can add only what you need without wasting memory
Edit: Thats barring that Delay Designer, isnt unique with any of those features

Soundsoap is tops for plugin cleaning hands down. Its never failed me. (Izotpe RX is notable in standalone). Rbass is dope but rarely ever actually use it. Waves is good go to, theres just better with better memory usage and features.

All I saw was Apple yadda yadda. Do I really need to go out of my way to find a way to try this plug? You gotta tell what, ive seen nothing exceptional. Tell me something, make me believe lol
Using one or two....no problem....using them as extensive as I use my other plugs BIG PROBLEMS. I have a quadcore fully blown out and a lappy with a i7 Dual core processor. Some of my vsti's are cpu hawgz as well so if I fire them both up it ain't pretty. I usually convert any midi info to wave but that's towards then end of the project. That relieves the cpu pressure but I need to be able to run my goto plugs before I get to that point. Waves just limits that on my end. I'm sure I could get an even better desktop to help out but I just got this beast a couple years ago. I don't plan on upgrading my set up for a couple more years.

Man, I have an Intel Quad core and I load up Wave SSL on each channel in Pro tools (30+ tracks) and a master buss as well as Eleven and TL space and it doesnt kill my CPU. I mean I can push it, but it is all still usable.
U probably have a Mac and your's is probably more expensive and better than mine. If I was head over heals in love with Waves maybe I'd up grade...I'm not so I won't.
Not when I feel they're a other plugins that are just as good or better. I was once a waves merc bundle only man myself.

I think I had them once....I didn't use them and probably should have. I've only used those in the Mercury bundle v5. I would probably use the 1knobs if I had them. I'll get those classics back and check them thoroughly.
