when things work...its also a good thing to let the people that helped know it worked iight? so did it work cos what cold truth told you to do is basically...well the cold truth!
converting the cubase track to wav is done by soloing ALL the tracks and File>export> audio mix down> save as.
remember you want the final mix as STEREO INTERLEAVED, 24 bit, and the highest possible sample rate, then you take that mix into your soundforge/cooledit etc and then do the additional tweaking (mastering,fade in/out, hiss,hum removal, normalizing) etc depends on your program really. for me soundforge is the grandaddy for this. then when ur done you save it down into 16bit/44.1 so it can be listened to on CD(it wont if you leave it at the high rate)
