Dr. Dre son’s death ruled a heroin overdose
Coroner ruled Andre Young Jr.’s death an accident and closed the case

LOS ANGELES - The 20-year-old son of veteran rapper Dr. Dre died in August from an overdose of heroin and morphine, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said on Friday.

Andre Young Jr. was found dead by his mother at his Los Angeles home after spending a night out with friends.

After toxicology and other tests, the coroner ruled his death as accidental and says the case is closed, spokesman Larry Dietz said on Friday.

Dietz said the tests showed Young died of morphine and heroin intoxication.

Hey! I have some experience with the first of the three... I think you'd be surprised at how natural the progression is from nose-candy to freebasing, and then from freebasing to rocks... I think most overdoses are accidental though, I mean like if you're mixing two CNS depressants (morphine and heroin) you're pretty much setting yourself up for a breathless (literally, shit will shut your respiratory system down) night.

Sad though.

I see addicts rushing to find out who his dealer was.

It happens often, the child of someone successful with a lot of money falling into the grips of hard drugs. Think of how much he could have learned from his father if he had any musical interest. How many tips and tricks his son could have learned from the master.

Sometimes we can't appreciate what we have, even when it's right in front of us. This kid had everything money could buy - his dad had to struggle to get out of Compton, become successful in one of the toughest industries to succeed in, try to get a better life for him and his family... and this happens.
